I'm a passionate gamer and storyteller. I've worked as a narrative designer, as well as a copywriter in the gaming industry, and nothing excites me more than crafting stories with the power to move players.
I've traveled the marketing galaxies far and wide, as a marketing expert and copywriter, working on everything from video games to music, fine art to tourism, and I'm passionate about all things related to that field.
Over the past two decades I've worn myriad hats, in the theater and at adertising agencies, in tourism and the media, and I'm the wealth manager of an entire bank of experience.

Theatre directing. Focused on Shakespeare, devising and physical thater.
Regular contractor at CCP Games, mostly writing marketing copy for web, email and ads.
Among other things, I was in charge of marketing the companies IPO, which resulted in a triple oversubscription, jumpstarting the marketing drive for the company’s first mobile game, as well as leading the writer’s team responsible for the game’s narrative.
In my career I've worked for advertising agencies, theater companies, corporations and non-profits in many diverse projects as a freelancer.

Besides translating anything from TV shows and films to stage plays and books, I've published my own fiction and written dramatic material for stage, television and radio. In addition to that I've written columns and posts for radio, prestigious web sites and print magazines.

I have been a part of the theater scene in Iceland for most of my life, in one way or another, and have been fortunate enough to work with some of the most talented artists in the country.
Here’s some of what I’ve done:
I’ve been fortunate enough to travel the far reaches of the marketing milky way in my career as a copywriter. I’ve been a copywriter for CCP Games since 2022, having previously worked in advertising and marketing agencies in addition to creating a plethora of projects myself.
Among the companies I’ve worked for as a copywriter are CCP Games, Solid Clouds, Key of Marketing, Ennemm advertising agency, Reykjavik UNESCO City of Literature, Idé advertising agency, Gaflaraleikhúsið theater company, and many more.
I don’t tend to hesitate when it comes to putting pen to paper, and I’ve crafted myriad smaller and larger pieces. In addition, I’ve been a translator for 20 years. Here is a small sample of my work:
This short story was the start of a Wild West fantasy world I’m building in my spare time. The story can be read here.
A young woman sits in a police interrogation room. Everything she says is a lie. This is what she leaves unsaid.
I’ve had the opportunity to write songs for award winning musicals, and in addition I’m an accomplished indie musician. Below, you’ll find a sample of what’s available online, and here is a list of the theater productions I’ve composed for:
Work in progress. Slated for release in 2024.
In 2022 I released this album, collecting material I had been working on during COVID. I had been hard at work on Henry and needed a little break, so I decided to throw together a quick and raw album. This is the result.
An album featuring the songs from the play Fíflið by Karl Ágúst Úlfsson.
It took me a decade to gather the nerve to release my first solo album. I was stuck for a long time, and eventually I released it under the moniker One Bad Day.
This album from 2006, which I released with my duet Misery Loves Company, was a kind of raw experiment, which some might love and some might not. I do love it though.
In my career as a marketer, I’ve been fortunate enough to get to travel far and wide through the galaxies of gaming, tourism, advertising and more. As brand manager, lead copywriter and narrative lead for Solid Clouds, I was not only in charge of marketing the companies IPO, which resulted in a triple oversubscription, but also jumpstarted the marketing drive for the company’s first mobile game, as well as leading the writer’s team responsible for the game’s narrative. More recently, I’ve been a copywriter for CCP Games, crafting impactful blog posts, emails and ads for Iceland’s most successful video game, EVE Online. I’ve also done academic research into gamers and player motivation during my marketing studies, so I’ve been able to touch the hearts and controllers of gamers around the world.
In my career I’ve been involved in digital and analog marketing of everything from video games to stage productions, music to tourism and everything else from earth to Andromeda. Among my achievements in those areas is Free Walking Tour Reykjavik, a tiny travel business that I grew five times over with a combination of social media campaigns and digital advertising. In addition, I’ve sold my own music and online courses using digital marketing, as well as being involved in successful crowdfunding campaigns using social media.
I’ve created programs for TV, radio and the internet throughout the years, giving me a chance to collaborate with excellent talents, in terms of creativity and technology. Among the shows I’ve been involved with are:
